Atlantic High School (Florida)
Atlantic High School is a public high school located in Port Orange, Florida. The school started in 1994 and currently serves about 1,000 students in grades 9 to 12 and is part of Volusia County Schools. The Principal, James Tager, is a college and career oriented principal. He focuses on getting students to find a career and train for it while in high school, advocating duel enrollment and Advanced Placement courses. The School is in the process of getting computers for each student, to help them learn in an advanced way, adapting to the times.
==Extra Curriculars==
Extra Curricular Activities are extremely important at Atlantic High School. Many students participate in various activities. Many national organizations have a chapter at Atlantic including FFA, DECA, Key Club International, The International Thespian Society, Science Olympiad, and JROTC. Other generic clubs include Spanish Club, Latin Club, drama club, along with some unique clubs such as Anime Club. Along with some of these clubs, Atlantic High School has teams that compete on a national, state, and county level including Science Olympiad, Mock Trial (which has gone to the state tournament every year since 2001) and the Academic Team.
